THE PROJECT
Level is a portable display product developed for ExpoDisplays. It was created out of the need for something unique in the trade show industry. Its bold profile and moving graphic panels seek to catch the eye of passersby, both on and off the show floor.
DEVELOPMENT
In its infancy, Level was envisioned as a grooved extrusion product, but this was changed to make used of a simpler, proprietary extrusion. The idea of sliding panels came about during this evolution. After initial modeling and prototyping, the frame was made deeper, which also allowed for the insertion of side panels to create a mural effect. The second iteration of the prototype helped refine lighting attachment, cord management, and the sliding system.
CREATING PACKAGING
The system was designed to fit inside a 4' x 2'6" x 8' crate. Each component was given a designated compartment to ensure the product's safety during shipping, and to make unpacking and repacking simple.
GRAPHIC LEVELS
The Level was named so because of the various graphics applications that it could contain. These are referred to as "levels," and could be purchased in multiple capacities.
